Coursera for UCSC Overview
Coursera is a global online learning platform that offers access to thousands of massive open online courses (MOOCs), course collections, and specializations from faculty at universities around the world (including UCSC).
Benefits of Coursera for UCSC
- Through UCSC’s partnership with Coursera, the entire campus community has been granted free access to over 3,000 online courses and specializations (groupings of courses).
- The catalog includes courses in hundreds of topics: programming, music, history, well-being, social justice movements, career success, and much more.
- Coursera for UCSC offers flexible learning at your own pace, opportunities to explore and expand your interests, and ways to gain knowledge and develop new skills.
- While Coursera courses are not for credit, you can earn a certificate for any course you complete.
Getting Started with Coursera for UCSC
- UC Santa Cruz students, faculty, and staff can sign up anytime to access a learning experience of their choice — all you need is an active @ucsc.edu email address.
- To start learning, visit Coursera for UCSC, click “Join,” click on “Log in with University of California, Santa Cruz,” and then sign in using your UCSC credentials.
