Coursera for UCSC

Coursera is a global online learning platform that offers access to thousands of massive open online courses (MOOCs), course collections, and specializations from faculty at universities around the world (including UCSC).

  • Through UCSC’s partnership with Coursera, the entire campus community has been granted free access to over 3,000 online courses and specializations (groupings of courses).
  • The catalog includes courses in hundreds of topics: programming, music, history, well-being, social justice movements, career success, and much more.
  • Coursera for UCSC offers flexible learning at your own pace, opportunities to explore and expand your interests, and ways to gain knowledge and develop new skills.
  • While Coursera courses are not for credit, you can earn a certificate for any course you complete.
  • UC Santa Cruz students, faculty, and staff can sign up anytime to access a learning experience of their choice — all you need is an active @ucsc.edu email address.
  • To start learning, visit Coursera for UCSC, click “Join,” click on “Log in with University of California, Santa Cruz,” and then sign in using your UCSC credentials.
  • For a step-by-step guide on logging in, visit the following detailed login instructions.
