Engage, Learn, and Advance Teaching Together
Whether you want to enhance your teaching, foster community with colleagues, or find support for teaching challenges, the TLC offers opportunities to advance inclusive and effective practices. We welcome Senate faculty, lecturers, graduate students, and staff from across disciplines and ranks to explore the opportunities below to collaborate, learn, and grow with the TLC.

Ways to Get Involved
Attend a Teaching Event
Learn more about the TLC’s annual events events that bring together UCSC educators to explore meaningful, timely topics in teaching and learning. Our events include the Convocation, Experiential Learning Summit, and Teaching Week.
Design or Redesign a Course
Work with the TLC to design or redesign a course that aligns with evidence-based practices in equity-minded and inclusive teaching. Support includes consultations, syllabus reviews, and instructional resources.
Develop a Grant Partnership with TLC
We partner with faculty on research grants with educational components, offering expertise in pedagogy, curriculum, and learning assessment. We provide flexible support—from idea development to collaboration on training, course design, and assessment—while referring grant writing and evaluation to the Office of Research Development.
Join a Faculty or Grad Program, Course, or Learning Community
Connect with peers in a structured interdisciplinary learning community focused on improving teaching and mentoring practices. These communities provide peer support, collaborative problem-solving, and professional growth.
Request a Workshop
We offer customized workshops on a range of topics for any instructional group on campus with tailored sessions to meet your needs.
