Building Community for Teaching Professors
The Teaching Professors Learning Community is an ongoing professional development group for Teaching Professors at UC Santa Cruz. Guided by a faculty steering committee with rotating facilitation, it provides a dedicated space for Teaching Professors to engage with peers and strengthen the pedagogical and professional dimensions of their role.
The community meets twice per quarter throughout the academic year and offers opportunities for:
- Discussing current issues specific to the Teaching Professor role
- Exploring and sharing effective teaching practices
- Workshopping classroom strategies and course designs
- Engaging with guest talks from UCSC faculty and invited speakers
