Alix MacDonald

Graduate Student Researcher (Spring 2024); Graduate Pedagogy Fellow in Psychology (2023)

Alix is a Ph.D. student in Social Psychology with a designated emphasis in Critical Race and Ethnic Studies. Her work is grounded in critical whiteness studies, which centers whiteness as a structure of power in order to disrupt it. She is interested in intergenerational trauma, intergenerational healing, and what anti-coloniality looks like for White people committed to racial justice and coalition building. She engages in mixed-methods research and is passionate about student experiences in the classroom, especially surrounding difficult conversations and content across differences, such as race, power, and privilege.
