Boyeong Kim

Graduate Pedagogy Fellow in Latin American & Latinx Studies (2023)

Boyeong Kim is a Ph.D. candidate in Latin American and Latino Studies studying how the strong-state-led economic development projects and the “economic miracle” discourses have shaped the boundaries of belonging in South Korea and Chile. As a TA and GSI, Boyeong has widely experienced upper and lower division courses, remote and in-person modes of instruction, and large and small enrollment. By participating in the Graduate Pedagogy Fellows Program, she aims to improve her inclusive and accessibility-aware pedagogical skills and contribute to making higher education a liberating space for all our students. She hopes to solidify the collaborative culture in the LALS department believing that community makes us stronger and thrive together.
