CITL/Division of Student Success Faculty Fellow
Derede Arthur is a Continuing Lecturer in the Writing Program. As a CITL/Division of Student Success (DSS) Faculty Fellow, Derede will support the Writing Program’s first ever Faculty Learning Community (FLC), in which colleagues plan to visit one another’s classes and meet regularly throughout the year to research, experiment with, and refine pedagogical innovations in the teaching of writing, particularly oriented towards the teaching of our most under-resourced students. For the benefit of colleagues outside the FLC, the community plans by year’s end to put together a video archive, a print or web-based handbook, or a mini-conference on the most effective writing-related classroom activities and pedagogical practices.
