Summer GSI Peer Support Team (2023)
Erica Zurawski (she/her) is a PhD candidate in Sociology and prior to coming to UCSC, earned her JD from the University of Wisconsin. Her research interrogates the social, spatial, imaginative, and legal lives of the food desert concept with an eye to the colonial histories and imperial legacies woven throughout the concept. Beyond her dissertation research, she has extensive experience putting into practice the CITL training she has completed, as both a GSI and TA. She is thrilled to be a part of the Summer GSI Peer Support Team and to share the profound joy that can come from crafting a class built around engaged pedagogies and student-centered learning.
