CITL Faculty Fellow 2022-23; Professor, Ecology and Evolutionary Biology
Ingrid Parker is a Professor of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and the Faculty Executive Director of the UCSC Greenhouses. Her research focuses on plant disease ecology and on biological invasions, conservation, and restoration. She is interested in how students develop a sense of belonging and research identity through both classroom and field courses. Ingrid received the UCSC Excellence in Teaching Award in 2002, a Fulbright Teaching Fellowship at the University of Panama in 2005, and the UCSC Distinguished in Teaching Award from the Committee on Teaching in 2021.
