Ever since she can remember, Jennifer Jones Hinz knew she wanted to be a teacher. She is going into her 29th year in education. Jennifer has taught elementary and middle school as well as supported new teachers. At UCSC, she has the opportunity to work with future elementary as well as secondary English and Social Studies teachers in the Education Department as a Lecturer and Teacher Supervisor as part of the MA/Credential Program. Helping students grow and learn no matter where they are at has always been at the center of Jennifer’s teaching. She works to help all students feel valued and supported in their learning. Jennifer works with the Central California Writing Project as the Co-Director where she gets to work with and support teachers as they help their students see themselves as writers.
