Juli is a Geographer and UC AFT Teaching Faculty. She teaches Rachel Carson College’s Core Course, “Academic Literacy and Ethos: Environment and Society” and “Amazonian Cultures and Conservation” in Environmental Studies, for which has received Campus Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion co-funding for Amazonian community leaders to speak for themselves about their struggles for territory and socio-ecological justice. She is also the Co-founder and Executive Director of Roots & Routes Intercultural Collaborations, an educational and research non-profit dedicated to culturally specific approaches to conservation.
