Justine Parkin

Justine is third-year PhD Candidate in the History of Consciousness Department who studies literature, politics, and ecological thought with a focus on Māori and Oceanic practices of knowledge-making. She has experience teaching at the high school and college level, and has served as a graduate mentor to undergrads (at University of Oregon and UC Santa Cruz) working to pursue academic publishing and graduate school. As an ecological thinker, she aspires in her research, teaching, and writing to model an ethics and politics of care to meet the challenges of the present.
