Kirsten Silva Gruesz is Professor and Graduate Director of Literature, as well as its former Undergraduate Director. She has been recognized by the Disability Resource Center for innovative teaching accommodations. Her project as a Faculty Fellow is about fostering student’s ability to tap into an American tradition of dissenting speech, reaching back to the abolitionist movement, as a way to invigorate public language and dialogue today.
