Kyle Gonzalez researches AI-based game design spaces through critical technical design practice. As a GSI and TA, he has taught video game theory, design, and development, and he has also worked with high school students through the Science Internship Program and the California State Summer School for Mathematics and Science. He encourages students to integrate critical approaches in their creative practices and models it in collaborative classroom discussions. As a 2024-25 GPF Fellow, Kyle looks forward to learning from and contributing to a culture of equitable instruction, and developing his own pedagogical practice alongside other Fellows across disciplines. Kyle is currently a 5th-year PhD Candidate in Computational Media at UCSC.
