Louise Alissa De Morais

Louise Alissa de Morais is a fifth-year Ph.D. Candidate, studying reproductive behaviors in fish. Louise received her B.S. and M.Sc. at Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil. Before joining UCSC, she taught biology to high schoolers and worked as an instructor in a field course. At UCSC, she has been a TA in 6 courses, teaching ecology, evolution, and animal behavior in both the classroom and the field. As a Graduate Pedagogy fellow, Louise is excited to collaborate with an interdisciplinary teaching community and assist her department in implementing justice-oriented and transformative teaching methods.
