Maria (she/they) is a passionate pedagogical changemaker. Growing up without access to normative schooling, she is well situated to view possibilities for learning that exist outside of the status quo. Maria has spent the last two decades building a skillset in community-oriented facilitation and circle-based processes, embodied education, and peer mentoring. As an artist and dancer, Maria is committed to bringing creativity and embodiment to the classroom, in an effort to foster learning environments in which the whole student and community can thrive.
