Robert Johnson III is an Environmental Art and Social Practice MFA student whose work explores the African-American experience through representation, identity and culture. As a photographer and filmmaker, he has collaborated on a myriad of social justice and environmental multi-media projects, PSA’s and documentaries to amplify messages redressing the climate crisis, systemic injustice and social inequities. As a TLC Graduate Pedagogy Fellow, he is interested in expanding his pedagogical practice to establish classrooms that are equitable, inclusive and active learning spaces that foster creativity for students to make art. In the future, he hopes to work as a photography instructor to “be the change he wants to see”.
