Samira Vera-Choqqueccota

Samira Vera, a Ph.D. student in Biomolecular Engineering and Bioinformatics, is working under the guidance of Dr. Mohammed Mostajo-Radji to develop a toolkit for remote-project-based Stem Cell Education. Her research is primarily focused on the creation of biological tools and protocols for differentiating stem cells into neurons, which are integral to remote education projects. Additionally, she collaborates with engineers to integrate Cloud Technologies in the laboratory, aiming to provide real-time remote access to data on neuronal differentiation. Through her work, Samira is dedicated to bridging the existing gap in STEAM access among diverse populations, underscoring her commitment to inclusive and innovative educational practices.
