Summer GSI Peer Support Team (2024); Graduate Pedagogy Fellow in Environmental Studies (2023)
Sanya Cowal researches coffee agroecology as a Ph.D. student in the Environmental Studies program. Her teaching experience spans from science to music education. As a past TLC Graduate Pedagogy Fellow, she has been working to creatively reconstruct course design to encourage deeper student engagement by building a sense of belonging in academia. She finds great joy in learning and loves finding new pathways for students to uncover their own passions and curiosities. She is excited to work with incoming instructors to support one another in making academia more equitable, inclusive, and creative.
