Sarah Sanford

TLC Faculty Fellow (2023-24); Assistant Teaching Professor, Art

Sarah Sanford is an Assistant Teaching Professor of Print Media and Drawing in the Art department at UC Santa Cruz. She holds an M. F. A. degree from the Edinburgh College of Art, Scotland and a B. S. in Art EducaCon from the joint program of Case Western Reserve University & Cleveland InsCtute of Art. Trained as a printmaker, her creaCve pracCce incorporates photography, drawing, printmaking and installaCon to explore themes of Cme passage, impermanence and interconnectedness. She exhibits her work naConally and internaConally and has held arCst residencies in the UK, France and USA. Sanford teaches and develops courses for the areas of print media, drawing and painCng, and foundaCons. In addiCon, she is the faculty Director of ArtsBridge, a program that provides experienCal learning opportuniCes for undergraduate and graduate Arts majors interested in pursuing educaCon as a career path. In partnership with the Santa Cruz County Office of EducaCon, she oversees the placement and mentorship of students as they design and teach an arts discipline project in local K-12 schools.
