Sean Riedel

Sean is a 3rd year PhD student in the applied math department. Many of the people who have left the biggest impact on Sean have been his teachers, coaches, and mentors. Because of this, he has had a strong motivation to engage in pedagogy and teaching since high school. His pedagogical research interests center on what motivates students to pursue higher education, and how our teaching needs to adapt to changes in students’ motivation. His mathematical research interests are in fluid dynamics, computational physics, and numerical modeling. He also really likes to run.
