Shaun McKinnie’s research focuses on discovering bioactive natural products from various biological sources and understanding how they are chemically and biochemically assembled. He teaches courses in the areas of organic chemistry and chemical biology and is passionate about increasing the accessibility, engagement, and innovation regarding assessments in these fields. After participating in the CITL Faculty Fellows program two years ago, he is excited to return in 2023-2024 to continue improving his understanding towards creating and supporting equitable research and classroom environments.
